KUFOS Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Details

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for empanelment as Guest Faculty in various subjects under Faculty of Fisheries Science, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies. Details of qualifications and remuneration are given below. Deployment of empanelled guest faculty shall be limited to requirement.

1. Post Name: Guest Faculty

2. Remuneration:

i. Guest faculty who have the prescribed qualifications with NET/PhD – Rs 1500/- per hour for theory and Rs 750/- per hour for practical (Subject to a maximum of Rs 3000/- per day and Rs 50,000/- per month).

ii. Guest faculty who have the prescribed qualifications but without NET/PhD – Rs.1000/- per hour for theory and Rs.500/- per hour for practical (Subject to a maximum of Rs 2000/- per day and Rs 32,000/- per month).No additional honorarium shall be claimed for attending the additional duties entrusted by the Dean of Faculty or by the university.

3. Educational Qualification:

Aquaculture:

i. Master of Fisheries Science (MFS) in Aquaculture/ Fish Genetics & Breeding/Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology / Fish Physiology & Biochemistry with specialization in Fish Nutrition/ Fish Biotechnology with specialization in Aquaculture
ii. Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science approved by ICAR
iii. ICAR/UGC/CSIR NET mandatory.
iv. PhD in the relevant subject.

Fishing:

i. Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) in Fisheries Technology Engineering &Technology / Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering.
ii. Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science approved by ICAR.
iii. ICAR/UGC/CSIR NET mandatory iv. PhD in the relevant subject

Fisheries Extension Economics & Statistics

i. Master of fisheries Science (MFSc) in Fisheries Extension/Fisheries Economics/Fisheries Business Management/MBA Agri-Business Management/ MFSc in any discipline with research experience in Fisheries Statistics
ii. Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science approved by ICAR
iii. ICAR/UGC/CSIR NET Mandatory
iv. PhD in the relevant subject

4. Age Limit: As per UGC Guidelines

KUFOS Recruitment 2025 Application Fees

Registration fee: Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only – For Candidates other than SC/ST) and Rs.125/ – (Rupees One Hundred and Twenty Five only – For SC/ST Candidates). Applications without payment of Fee shall be summarily rejected & fee once paid is non refundable at any circumstances.

General Instructions

i. The clearing of NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for candidates in such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET has not been conducted.

ii. In shortage of candidates with NET, candidates those who have no NET shall be considered as per the norms stipulated according to the decision of the university authorities.

iii. Guidelines issued by UGC from time to time shall be applicable.

iv. A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor’s as well as at the Master’s level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy Layer)/ Differently abled ((a) Blindness and low vision;

v. Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment.

vi. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.

vii. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

Selection Process for KUFOS Recruitment 2025

The University reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview on the basis of qualifications/ suitability of candidate to the post with experience prescribed in the notification.
